Host Transykvania University won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches today as they went on to a 7-2 win over the Lions. The Mount ends the regular season with a 6-9 overall mark, 2-6 in the HCAC and will play on Apr. 30 in the HCAC Tournament against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Sandy Berry (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) recorded the Lions' lone singles win against the Pioneers, winning a third set tiebreaker by a 10-8 score. Berry teamed with Kyle Smith (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) at first doubles for an 8-5 win. Tyler Esham (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) also played well at fifth singles, dropping his match in a third set tiebreaker. ÂÂ
