The Mount St. Joseph University Spirit Program consists of Cheerleaders, Dance Team and the Mascot, Joe Lion. The MSJ Spirit Program is apart of the MSJ Athletic Department. As a sport, its first and foremost responsibility is to support and enhance the student’s academic experience. Secondly, the program is designed to aid in developing the student participant into a responsible, mature, and independent adult. Specifically, the program is a means of improving the student’s mental and physical well-being. Cheerleaders, dancers, and mascots perform activities and events through campus, community, and athletics and are the SPIRIT, TRADITION, & HEART of the MSJ Campus!

Help the MSJ Spirit Program Athletes to succeed inside and outside of the program. The MSJ Spirit Program prepares students for success in academics, spirit, traditions, competitions and life outside and once graduated. Supporting this program will enhance the funding of each athlete in their education, leadership, career development, competition, nutrition, equipment, travel, facility upgrade, and more.
