The College of Mount St. Joseph men's tennis team kicked off the 2012-13 school season with their first match of the fall season on Monday, falling at home to Capital University, 9-0. The Lions, who have five matches scheduled for the fall, will be back on the courts on Sept. 13 when they host Miami University Middletown.
Senior Clayton Steinriede (Cincinnati, OH/St. Xavier) recorded four game wins at first singles against his Capital opponent, losing 6-4, 6-0, while teammate Chris Hemmingsen (Columbus, OH/Ohio Virtual Academy), a freshman, dropped a 6-2, 6-1 match at fifth singles. Senior Evan Lolli (Lebanon, OH/Lebanon) and Hemmingsen fell by an 8-2 score at third doubles.
