Lions' men's tennis team suffers 7-2 home setback to Anderson University

Visiting Anderson University won all three doubles match on Saturday, and claimed four of six singles matches, as they went on to a 7-2 win at the Mount. The Lions, 2-6 overall, 0-4 in the HCAC, will be back in action on April 14 when they play at Thomas More College.

Clayton Steinriede (Cincinnati, OH/St, Xavier) ran his 2012-2013 season mark to 6-2 today in singles play, when he knocked off his Anderson opponent, 6-4, 6-2 in first singles play. Drew Royalty (Ashland, OH/Paul G. Blazer) claimed the other Mount win, at sixth singles, with a 6-4, 6-3 victory. John Knoll (Cincinnati,, OH/Turpin) lost his fourth singles match on a third set tie-breaker, and teammed with Royalty at third doubles to lose a hard-fought, 8-6 match.
