The Lions turned in a dominating performance on the courts Friday aftenoon, as they posted a 9-0 win at Bluffton University. The Mount, 4-7 overall, claim their first HCAC win of the season - in their six conference match of the season. They will be backn in action on April 20 when they play at HCAC-foe Manchester University.
The Mount won three singles matches by 8-0 scores, as second singles player Kyle Haas (Jasper, IN/Northeast Dubois), third singles player John Knoll (Cincinnati, OH/Turpin), and fifth singles player Tyler Esham (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) all blanked their opponents. Drew Royalty (Ashland, KY/Pau G. Blazer) won his sixth singles match by an 8-1 final.
Haas and Steinriede both improved to 4-2 in HCAC play this season. Knoll and Royalty have two wins each in the conference for the 2012-2013 season.
