Mount men's tennis records 8-1 win at Central State University

The College of Mount St. Joseph men's tennis team got back to their winning ways on the court Tuesday afternoon, when they traveled to Wilberforce, OH and defeated Central State University, 8-1. The Mount, 2-5 overall this season, is slated to resume action on April 11 when they host Thomas More College.

The Lions swept all three of the doubles matches against Central State, while claiming five of six singles matches. Clayton Steinriede (Cincinnati, OH/St. Xavier) and Tyler Esham (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) each surrendered only one game in their two-set singles matches, while teammate Max Withrow (Ft. Mitchell, KY/Beechwood) won his fourth singles match 6-1, 6-1. Esham and Withrow combined at second doubles to win, 8-0. The win snaps a Lions' four-match losing streak.
