Lions' men's tennis team wins third straight with a 7-2 win over Heidelberg

The Lions got wins from five of their six singles players, and captured two of three doubles matches on Friday afternoon, as they recorded a 7-2 non-conference victory at home over Heidelberg University. The Mount, 5-4 overall, will be back in action on April 11 when they play at Berea College.

Four of the Lions five singles wins came in straight sets, led by third singles player Ian Rowe (Winchester, KY/George Rogers Clark), who won 6-1, 6-0; and teammate Cooper Wade (Milan, IN/Milan), who at sixth singles, scored a 6-0, 6-2 victory. Both also won their doubles matches - as Rowe teamed with William Knoll (Cincinnati, OH/Turpin) at first doubles to win, 8-5 and Wade and third doubles partner Kyle Haas (Jasper, IN/Northeast Dubois) recorded an 8-0 win.
