LOCATION: Marietta, Ohio (Marietta Tennis Center)
THE BASICS:
The Mount St. Joseph men's tennis team fell to 0-2 on the season after a 6-3 loss to Marietta on Sunday. Losing all three doubles matches, with two being tight matches, doomed the Lions.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Top Lions tandem Cody Hurley and Cooper Wade fell 9-7 in their doubles match, and Hurley was forced to once again retire due to injury in his single match for the second straight time. Wade won his singles match in a third set tiebreaker.
Cody Tallon cruised to a two-set victory while Ian Stutz won a 6-4 nailbiter in the third set for his singles win. It was his second three-set victory in as many chances this spring.
UP NEXT
The Lions will get their first home match of the spring season on April 2 against St. Vincent with the time still to be determined.
