Mount St. Joseph begins HCAC play by hosting Manchester

CINCINNATI, Ohio-- The men's tennis team at Mount St. Joseph opened the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference portion of their schedule, as they played host to Manchester. This would be a very tough match for both teams, as they each took their fair share of matches. Manchester though was able to come up with one extra win to take the match 5-4

The singles matches were dead even with each team taking three of the six matches. For the Lions it was Cooper Wade (Milan, IN/ Milan), Ian Stutz (Troy, OH/ Troy), and Cody Tallon (Bright, IN/ East Central) who gained singles match wins.

This match though was decided in the doubles matches. With Manchester able to take two of three from the Lions, they would secure the 5-4 win. Again it was the team of Wade and Stutz who were victorious for the Lions winning their match by a score of 8-6.

The Lions will take to the court again on Wednesday, April 5th as they travel south in I-75 to Lexington to take on Transylvania University.
