How it Happened:
Mount St. Joseph took on the Pioneers of Transylvania on the road. In doubles competition the Lions won 1 of 3 matches. Ian Stutz (Troy, OH/ Troy) and Cooper Wade (Milan, IN/ Milan) were able to come out victorious to win their match 8-4. In singles competition the Lions struggled to get the upper hand. Stutz was able to force a third match in his singles competition, but came up short 6-2 in the final set. Ben Montez (Dayton, OH/ Northridge) was able to dominate in his singles match. He won in two sets to add a point to the Lions team score. The Lions ultimately came up short to Transylvania with a final of 7-2.
Standouts:
Stutz had a great showing for the Lions. He was able to make an impact in his doubles match to come out with a win. Montez also had a great day as he was able to dominate in his singles match to add to the Lions total score.
