Wilmington, Ohio – The Mount St. Joseph Lions women's soccer team took on the Wilmington College Quakers on the road, ultimately falling 3-1 in a hard-fought match.
The Quakers struck early, finding the back of the net just three minutes into play. The Lions responded with offensive pressure, registering two shots shortly after. Senior Bailey Dotson provided the lone goal for the Lions in the 63rd minute.
The Lions utilized their depth, giving 22 players time on the field. However, Wilmington's offense remained tough to handle, outshooting the Lions 17-11.
UP NEXT: The Mount will look to bounce back in their next matchup on Saturday, September 21, when they travel to take on John Carroll University. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
