Cincinnati, Ohio – The Mount St. Joseph Lions women's soccer team celebrated an impressive start to their conference season, defeating the Manchester University Spartans 5-0 under rainy skies on Senior Night.

The Lions wasted no time making their presence felt on the field.
Mckenzie Schneeman opened the scoring in the sixth minute, setting the tone for the match.
Kerigan Pollard doubled the lead with a goal in the 18th minute, followed by another from Schneeman in the 25th, giving the Lions a commanding 3-0 advantage at halftime.
Continuing their strong performance into the second half,
Ella Pittman found the net in the 55th minute, and
Abby Cole capped off the scoring with a goal in the 67th minute. The Lions dominated the game, registering a total of 27 shots compared to the Spartans' limited chances.
NEXT UP- The Lions will host another HCAC team, Anderson University, at Schueler Field on Saturday, October 5.
