Lions Fall Short 1-0 vs. Spalding

CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Mount St. Joseph University women's soccer team came up short in a hard-fought 1–0 loss to Spalding University on Tuesday night at Schueler Field.

In the first half, the Golden Eagles came out strong, scoring in the 15th minute off a corner kick to take a 1–0 lead. The Lions then settled into the game and went into halftime trailing by one.

In the second half, the Lions' offense came out strong, generating multiple opportunities to equalize. In the 66th minute, Abby Cole struck the crossbar, coming inches away from leveling the score. Despite continued pressure and several shots on goal, Spalding held firm to secure the 1–0 victory.
