KENOSHA, WISCONSIN — The Mount St. Joseph University women's soccer team tied Carthage College, 0-0, on the road at Art Keller Stadium Saturday night, moving their record to 2-0-1.

The Lions' offense came out strong, creating several early chances. In the sixth minute, Kendal Fox hit the top crossbar, nearly breaking the early tie. The Mount had four more shots in the first half, including a shot in the 20th minute by Rachel Ginn that was saved by the Carthage goalkeeper. Megan Kallmeyer made three saves, helping the Lions head into halftime tied 0-0.

In the second half, the Mount continued to put pressure on the Firebird defense. In the 55th minute, Kendal Fox put a shot on goal that was saved by the Carthage goalkeeper. Less than 10 seconds later, Preslee Rugg also forced a save. Kallmeyer made four saves in the second half, while the Lions' defense allowed just five shots as the Mount went on to draw 0-0.

UP NEXT: The Mount will travel back to Cincinnati, where they will take on Wilmington College at Schueler Field on Wednesday, September 16. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
