Chuck Murray returns to Mount St. Joseph in 2025-26 for his 33nd year with the Mount. This will be his sixth as an Assistant AD, overseeing Athletic Facilities and Student-Workers.
Murray coached the Women’s Tennis Team from 2013-2019. Prior to becoming the Women’s Tennis Coach, Murray led the Lions Baseball Program for 17 seasons. In all he spent 20 seasons with the baseball program, being a part of its inception in 1994 through 2013.
As the Head Coach of the Lions baseball program, the team recorded 13 seasons of 20-wins or better, including three, 30-win seasons. Murray finished his career with a 400-301 record, good for a .564 winning percentage, claiming all 400 of his coaching victories here at The Mount . His Mount Teams claimed 5 HCAC Titles and he was named Coach of the Year twice, while reaching 3 NCAA Regionals including a 2000 Regional Runner-Up. Also during his tenure The Mount claimed countless All-HCAC, All- Region, and All-Americans. 8 of his player’s signed and played professional baseball.
In October of 2025 Coach Murray was elected to the Athletic Hall of Fame for his coaching career in baseball at Mount St. Joseph.
In addition to his regular duties, Murray is the "Voice of Lion Baseball and Softball" and is the color commentator for Lions football.
Coach Murray earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Kentucky University and a Master’s Degree from Xavier University.
He resides in Colerain Township with his wife, Melissa, twin sons Ryan and Patrick, and daughter Elizabeth who all graduated from The Mount.
