Kristen Johnson

Kristen Johnson enters her second season with the Mount St. Joseph University women’s soccer program in 2026, serving as Associate Head Coach after joining the staff as a full-time assistant coach in 2025.
 
Johnson brings a strong coaching and player development background to The Mount. Prior to joining MSJ, she served as head coach of the Roger Bacon High School girls’ soccer team for five seasons. She also served as an assistant coach at Cincinnati Christian University during the 2019 fall season before the university closed later that year.
 
A native of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Johnson played collegiate soccer at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where she was a four-year member of the women’s soccer team. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2016.
 
Johnson holds a USSF National “C” License and is also a certified personal trainer, bringing a strong foundation in technical and tactical coaching, athletic development, and player wellness.
 
During her first season at Mount St. Joseph, Johnson contributed to the continued development of the women’s soccer program both on and off the field. In her new role as Associate Head Coach, she will take on increased responsibilities within the program while continuing to play a key role in training, player development, recruiting, and the overall student-athlete experience.
 
Johnson currently resides in Cincinnati with her husband and son.
