Scott Bauman

Coach Scott Bauman enters his first season as the Lions assistant men's basketball coach.

Bauman is making a return to MSJ, after spending a season as an assistant coach under Coach Carrigan back in 2012-13. During that season he helped the Lions reach the HCAC Tournament for the first time in program history.

After his season at The Mount, he went on to spend two seasons as an assistant coach at Division-II powerhouse Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee. During his time there, the team was the GSC runner-up and even defeated their local D-I team the Memphis Tigers. His primary responsibility during his time at CBU was to lead all player/team development activities outside of practice, and was a vital member of the recruiting staff.

After his time in Memphis, he returned to the HCAC with a year-long stint as an assistant at Bluffton University. While there he aided in the recruiting efforts that would help eventually lead the Beavers to an appearance in the HCAC semi-finals.

He would then move to Marlborough, Massachusetts where he would serve for five season's as the Marlborough High School boy's basketball head coach. During his successful run at Marlborough High he led the team to a pair of league championships and a 2018 MIAA Division 2 Elite 8 appearance. Due to his team's success he was twice picked as the league's All-Star coach.

His most recent stop was at Midway University in Midway, Kentucky. Where he spent two seasons an assistant coach, and helped lead the Midway squad to a program record 11 conference victories.
