Jake Davis (Cincinnati, OH/Anderson) ran for 147 yards and scored two key third quarter TDs helping the Lions to a 38-18 home win today over Bluffton University. The Mount (4-0, 2-0 in the HCAC) will play at HCAC-foe Anderson University on Oct. 10.
Davis, who rushed for three TDs in the game, got the Mount scoring started early in the first half and
Brian Weimer (Cincinnati, OH;Oak Hills) kicked a 43-yard field goal as the Lions led 10-3 at the intermission. Davis added two, third quarter TD runs, the second giving the Mount a commanding 24-5 lead.

Derick Tabar (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain). Tabar led all receivers with six receptions for 105 yards.
Brad Sersion (Cincinnati, OH/Anderson) grabbed four receptions for 58 yards. The Lions were hampered by five turnovers, all coming on fumbles.
The Mount allowed 234 yards of offense to Bluffton, holding the Beavers to 53 yards rushing on 33 attempts.
Erik Prosser (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills) had 13 tackles to lead all defenders while Vince Smith (Middletown, OH/Middletown) chipped in nine tackles and had an interception.
David Davis (Longwood, FL/Lake Mary) also had an interception for the Lions. The Mount also recorded four sacks in the game.
