Host Anderson University jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the half and added two second half goals before the Mount scored, en route today to a 4-1 HCAC win. The Lions, 2-11-1 overall, 1-4 in the conference, will be back in action on Oct. 20 when they play at HCAC-rival Franklin College.
Tim Pope (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) got the Lions on the scoreboard in the 79th minute of play but the Mount would not get any closer, giving up a final goal to the Ravens in the 82nd minute of the game. Anderson out-shot the Lions, 15-12 in the game, including 12-7 in shots on goal. Maxwell Hoffman (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) had eight saves in the game.
