Christopher Corbett (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) scored twice for the Mount as the Lions ended a seven-game losing streak by registering a 4-1 win against Defiance College on Senior Day. The Mount is now 3-12-1 on the season, 2-5 in the HCAC, and will host HCAC-rival Transylvania University on Oct. 26.
Corbett scored a goal in each half, while teammates Braden Schultz (Naperville, OH/Naperville Central) and Nicholas Groman (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) each added second half goals for the Mount in the win. The Lions out-shot Defiance, 23-11, including 11-3 in shots on goal as Tyler Kenyon had two saves in goal. Nicholas Siko (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) added two assists.
