Mount volleyball team records 3-0 win over Bluffton University in the HCAC Semifinals

The College of Mount St. Joseph knocked off Bluffton University, 25-18, 25-20, 25-21, in the HCAC Tournament Semifnals at Transylvania University tonight, moving the Lions on to a HCAC Tournament Championship match on Nov. 7 against host Transy.The Pioneers defeated the Mount, 3-2, at MSJ on Oct. 26 in the HCAC regular season finale for the Lions.

The Mount, 21-10 this season, trailed in game three 12-9 but rallied for nine straight points to grab a 18-12 advantage en route to the three-set sweep. The win was the Mount's second victory over the Beavers this season. The Lions hit .235 in the match, and posted 44 kills. Jamie Grauvogel (Cleves, OH/Harrison) had 14 kills and five service aces for the Mount while teammates Lindsay Criswell (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley), Kat Roedig (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) and Sarah Scheid (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy) combined for 25 kills. Lyndsey Waldman (Batavia, OH/Clermont Northeastern) had 33 assists while Jaclyn Stenger (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills) added 12 digs.

Bluffton committed 10 receive errors in the match and hit .235 as a team.
