Visiting Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology knotted two second half goals today as they upended the Lions, 3-1 in HCAC play. The Mount, 3-7 overall, 1-1 in the conference, will be back in action on Oct. 8 when they host HCAC-foe Earlham College.
The Fightin' Engineers got on the scoreboard first today, when they tallied a goal in the eighth minute of play, but the Lions knotted the contest at one-all when Lee Rogers (Cincinnati, OH/Mariemont) ripped a penalty kick past the Rose-Hulman 'keeper. Rose-Hulman would answer that score just over three minutes later and then added a goal in the 71st minute of the game en route to the win.
The Fightin' Engineers held a 15-13 edge in shots, including 7-4 in shots on goal.
