Mount football team posts a 26-24 come-from-behind win at Manchester College

James Clay (Louisville, KY/Manual Dupont) scored the go-ahead TD early in the fourth quarter as the Lions held on to record a 26-24 come-from-behind victory at Manchester College. The Mount, 5-3 overall, 4-3 in the HCAC, will end 2011 conference play on Nov. 5 when they host Hanover College.

Clay scored the final of his three TDs in the game with 14:11 on the fourth quarter clock, when he raced in from 52 yards out. Of the Spartans' three possessions in the fourth quarter, two ended in punts while a third ended on a missed 25-yard field goal with 1:53 remaining in the game.

Clay rushed for a game-high 170 yards while adding three receptions for 29 yards. Mount quarterback Brian Pitzer (South Salem, OH/McClain) had 48 yards rushing and was six-of-16 passing for 59 yards and an interception.

Derek Termuhlen (Milford, OH/Milford) had a team-high seven tackles, including a sack while teammate Sean Brooks (Englewood, OH/Northmont) added a sack. Jay Dolak (Louisville, KY/Holy Cross) recovered a fumble.
