Lions' men's soccer team falls at Hanover College, 4-1

The Mount got on the scoreboard first today at Hanover College, but allowed four unanswered goal as they lost a 4-1 decision to the Panthers. The Lions, 2-11-1 overall, 0-5 in the HCAC, will be back in action on Oct. 19 when they host Anderson University in conference action.

Christopher Earls (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) got the scoring started in the game for the Lions when he tallied a goal off a pass from Nicholas Siko (Avon, OH/Avon Lake) in the game's 13th minute. Hanover would knot the score at one-all at 28:15, and the two teams would enter halftime with that score. The Panthers, however, would break open the game in the 52nd minute, going ahead 2-1 and scoring twice more over the next five minutes.

Hanover out-shot the Mount, 17-6, including 7-4 in shots on goal. The Panthers held a 6-4 edge in corner kicks. Three Mount goalkeepers saw action in the game.
