THE BASICS:
The Mount St. Joseph University women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-2 victory against Rose-Hulman on Wednesday night, evening the Lions conference record at 2-2 as the team chases one of six spots in the HCAC tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first set, Hannah Losey had a kill to tie the game 20-20. Keeping the game close, the Lions grabbed the first set 25-23 while hitting .333. The Lions fell back the second and third set by 25-20 and 25-22 but didn't give up. Playing tough the fourth set, the Lions won 28-26. Then a key kill by Losey won the fifth set for Lions 15-11.
STANDOUTS
Jessica Wilgenbusch led all players with 20 kills and 14 digs for a double-double. Losey added 11 kills and had a .250 hitting percentage. Lynsee Spatz and Sydney Wilzbach each had 27 assists. Kama Charles had 19 digs for the Lions.
