THE BASICS
Mount St. Joseph University (6-6-1, 0-3-1 HCAC) tied Earlham College (5-5, 2-1 HCAC) in two overtimes Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions came out strong and ready in the first half, with Kaylan Gruber knocking in two goals. Earlham came back and scored a goal in the 27th minute making it 2-1 at the end of the first half. Five minutes into the second half Earlham scored on a long shot off the dribble which tied up the score 2-2.
The Lions kept up the determination but just couldn't score the clincher despite out-shooting Earlham 28-4 in the match.
STANDOUTS
The Lions players Taylor Clark and Lexie Froehlke played the entire length of the game. Gruber had six shots with four on goal.
