Men's soccer drops 1-0 decision to Franklin in conference opener

Box Score

Mount St. Joseph University lost to Franklin College on Saturday night 1-0 in cold and wet conditions. The Grizzlies took the lead in the 40th minute from a cross that found Franklin's Blaine Fuhs for an easy goal.

The Lions led the entire game in shots taken, with Franklin having two more on target. Zach Kuebler led the team in shots with four on the night, though none were on target.

In the 76th minute after the Lions were trailing for most of the game, Trey Crone recieved the ball at the top of the key and dribbled to his right. He fired the ball to the upper corner where the Franklin keeper got his hands on it just enough to deflect it out of bounds. Crone finished the night with two shots, both of which were on target.

The Lions travel to Rose-Hulman for a 7 p.m. conference matchup on Wednesday.
