HOW IT HAPPENED
The Yellow Jackets started the game off scoring a goal in the opening minutes to give them an early advantage. Mount St. Joseph's Nathan Hornback answered right back in the 22nd minute, scoring an unassisted header to tie the game up. The Lions enter the half with good momentum.
In the 59th minute of the game the Yellow Jackets scored what would be the clincher. The Lions never came back.
Mount St. Joseph outshot Defiance 12-5 with Defiance only having two shots on goal, both of which ended in the net.
STANDOUTS
Tyler Schumann played all 90 minutes of the game and had one shot. Trey Crone also played the whole 90 minutes and accumulated two shots on the day with one on target.
