Box Score

LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH (Schueler Field)

RECORDS FALL
Rod Huber notched his 100th career win as Mount St. Joseph University's head football coach with a 59-7 home win against Finlandia University (Mich.) on Saturday afternoon.

The win gives the Mount a 7-3 record for the season and 6-2 in the HCAC, good for second place in the conference.

The Cincinnati native started his college coaching career in 1990, the football program's inaugural year, as defensive line coach under head coach John Pont. In 2000 Huber was elevated to the top spot and led his team to a 2-8 finish. Four years later the team would win the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with a perfect 6-0 mark, and 10-1 overall. He has won four HCAC championships and has a career head coaching record of 100-65.

Freshman Garrett Weaver caught three touchdowns to take his 2015 total to 17, breaking the MSJ single-season touchdown record and shattering the NCAA mark for receiving touchdowns by a freshman. The previous record of 15 had stood since 2000. The Amelia High School product caught a touchdown in eight of his team's 10 games this season.

Charles McCall crossed the 1,000 yard threshold, ending the season with 1,025 yards.

Marvin Draper returned a punt 98 yards for a touchdown, the longest punt return in MSJ history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
McCall broke the scoring open with a 9-yard scamper for a touchdown just five minutes into the game. Finlandia countered with a 25-yard pass play to tie the game just two minutes later, but it would be the only points the Finlandia Lions would score in the game.

McCall scored again from 43-yards to give the MSJ Lions the lead with five minutes in left in the first quarter, and the Mount piled on the points for the next three quarters, racking up 25 first downs and 572 yards of total offense.

STANDOUTS
Starting quarterback Mike Williams threw for two touchdowns, and Charlie Mullins replaced him to throw for another two touchdowns and 118 yards passing.

McCall finished with 228 yards on the ground, shattering his previous career best by 60 yards.

Weaver's three touchdowns came on five total catches for 76 yards.

Five Mount players had four tackles to lead the defense. Marvin Draper had the Mount's only interception.

SENIORS
MSJ honored seniors Draper, McCall, Shane Kelly and Kenny Williams.
