The Lions would go scoreless after that basket, with Anderson cutting the deficit to 31-26 with just over three minutes left in the half. The two teams battled for the lead throughout the opening minutes of the second half, with the Ravens getting key inside baskets against the Lions, enabling them to grab the lead and hold that advantage until Ken Kunkel (Cincinnati, OH/Colerian) knotted the score at 40-all with a jump shot at 14:20. Anderson hit a three-pointer on their next possession to re-take the lead, but Kunkel scored the game's next six points to give the Mount a 47-43 lead with 12:32 to play in the game.
