Box Score Three unanswered second half goals by Wabash College were too much for the Lions on Sunday. A late rally wasn't enough as the Lions dropped a 3-2 decision.
Wabash remains undefeated with an 8-0 record. The Lions drop to 4-2 on the year after starting 4-0.
Teddy Kerr (Cleves, OH/St. Xavier) scored the first goal of the game in the 30th minute, with the assist coming from Colton Lipps (Cincinnati, OH/Northwest). Kerr led the team in shots, finishing with six attempts and two on target.
After the Mount goal, Wabash bounced back to score three unanswered goals, all coming in the second half. Wabash ended up outshooting the Lions 17-13.
Nathan Hornback (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) was the other Mount scorer, netting a goal with eight minutes left in the game and cutting the Wabash lead to one. Hornback had three shots on the day to go along with his goal.
Men's soccer takes on Cincinnati Christian University at 7 p.m. on Tuesday on Schueler Field at the Mount Athletics Complex.
