Box Score Women's Soccer fell to Otterbein University 2-1. All three of the goals were scored in the first 32 minutes of the game. Lions record drops to 5-3-1 on the season with the Cardinals bettering its record to 3-4.
Otterbein scored the first goal of the game off a header. Immediately following the goal, Kaylan Gruber (Harrison, OH/Harrison) answered right back scoring a goal right from the kickoff. She dribbled the ball 20 yards on her own before firing the ball past the goalie. Gruber had a good game with six shots and five on target.
Otterbein went on to score in the 23rd minute to take the lead inevitably win the game.
The Lions outshot the Cardinals 15-9 with eight being on target. Morgan Knasel (Sidney, OH/Sidney) had three shots on the day.
Lindsey Sturwold (Sidney, OH/Sidney) started in goal in the second half where she gave up no goals and collected four saves.
The Lions will host Franklin College on Friday, October 2nd at 6pm.
