THE BASICS:
The Lions remain undefeated in the HCAC with the 2-0 win over the Beavers. The game was extremely well played on the defensive side of the ball by the Lions. As the defense pitched a shutout.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Lions took charge early on both sides of the ball. Emma Roth struck first finding the back of the net for the Lions in the 22nd minute. Quincy Webb delived a beautiful assist for the Lions, it was Roth's 2nd goal of the season. Paige Mersmann also found the back of the net for the Lions, in the 36th minute to push the Lions lead to 2-0. Assisting on the play was Kara Vennemeier.
The defenses were outstanding in the second half, as neither allowed a goal. The Lions though were spectacular as they only conceded two legitimate scoring opportunities.
STANDOUTS:
The Lions defense continues to shine each week and this week was no different. An all around team win for the Lions by not allowing Bluffton any scoring oppertunities.
