THE BASICS:
Mount St. Joseph (8-3-3) fell to Franklin (3-6-4) in a tough road match on Saturday. The loss was the first for the Lions in HCAC play all season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Mount St. Joseph offense struggled to find the back of the net on Saturday. Aside from the offense, for the first time since October 5 the Lions defense allowed an opponent to score a goal. Halfway through the first half Franklin took a 1-0 lead on the Lions. They would carry that lead into halftime.
The second half played very similarly to the first half. In the 55th minute the Grizzlies scored another goal, bringing the score to 2-0. Mount St. Joseph was unable to find the back of the net for the entirety of the match even though they registered more shots (11) than Franklin.

Mount St. Joseph will look to get back on track on Wednesday at Rose-Hulman. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
