THE BASICS:
Mount St. Joseph University loses to Defiance College (3-1) and Otterbein College (3-1) moving their overall record to 8-10(0-2) on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
MSJ would jump out early handing Defiance a first set loss 25-20. The Yellow Jackets would battle back taking the second set 25-19. DC would keep the momentum in the third set beating the Lions 25-12. The fourth set would come down to the wire with DC narrowly escaping MSJ 26-24 to take the match.
Jessica Wilgenbusch would lead the Lions in kills with 15. Wilgenbusch would also add 13 digs, defensively. Riley Brunner finished with 11 kills and 6 digs. Josie Andres would chip in 5 kills and 2 blocks while Cailey Clemmons would finish with 4 kills. Kama Charles would lead the Lions efforts defensively with 18 digs.
MSJ would lose to Otterbein College in their second match of the day 3-1. MSJ would win the first set 25-20 but would drop the next three 25-11, 25-21, 25-20.
