Mount St. Joseph ties Heidelberg, eyes next match

LOCATION:  Hoernemann Stadium (Tiffin, Ohio)

THE BASICS:  Mount St. Joseph (1-2-1) traveled up north to try to get back on track against Heidelberg (2-1-2) on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  The Lions played ferocious defense all match long, allowing only 2 shots on goal in 110 minutes.  MSJ logged eight shots on goal against Heidelberg.  Although they had multiple chances to find the back of the net, the Lions were held scoreless by the great goalkeeping and defense exhibited by Heidelberg.

STANDOUTS:

Michelle Hessling  and Lindsey Sturwold both played a great game on Saturday.  The two Lions split time in goal, holding their opponents scoreless and allowing MSJ to earn a tie.

UP NEXT:

The Lions take on Berea on Tuesday at Schueler Field.  Kickoff is at 7:30 PM as the Lions try to get back to their winning ways.
