Lions bounce back from tough stretch in convincing fashion

LOCATION:  Schueler Field (Cincinnati, Ohio)

THE BASICS:  

Mount St. Joseph (2-2-1) faced off against Berea (1-3-1) on Tuesday night and was able to grab a win, pushing their record back to .500 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

The Lions came out of the gates firing, putting shot after shot on the Berea goal in the first half.  They finally found the back of the net in the 29th minute and then twice in the last five minutes of the half, as they took a 3-0 lead into halftime.  

Mount St. Joseph came out hot again in the second half, scoring twice and pushing the lead to 5 goals with about 20 minutes remaining in the match.  They took this 5-0 lead all the way into the final minute before allowing a Berea goal with only 5 seconds left in the game.

STANDOUTS:

Olivia Weber and Taylor Clark both had great performances in the win.  Weber scored twice in the second half and Clark had a goal as well as an assist in the first half.

UP NEXT:

Mount St. Joseph will look to stay hot at Spalding on Friday.  The Lions will kickoff at 6:00 PM and look to push their record above .500.
