Wilgenbusch Honored Before Game for 1,000 Kills, Lions Rout Eagles in Straight Sets

LOCATION: Mount St. Joseph University's Harrington Center (Cincinnati, OH)

THE BASICS: MSJ volleyball gets their 6th win of the season beating CCU 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  It took just under an hour for MSJ to beat the Eagles of Cincinnati Christian in three straight games. The Eagles put up a fight in the first two sets with scores of 25-22, 25-21 before the Lions turned up the intensity winning the third set, 25-11.

MSJ's Riley Brunner led the team offensively with nine kills, while Cailey Clemmons and Briana Looney both finished with seven kills a piece. Josefa Andres and Hannah Losey knocked down four kills in the win, respectively.

Defensively, Jessica Wilgenbusch was all over the court, finishing with a team high eleven digs. Kama Charles had nine digs while Sydney Wilzbach finished with eight.

UP NEXT: The Lions will have a small break in action with no matches this weekend. MSJ will be back out on the court next Wednesday versus Ohio Christian at home. The match is scheduled to start at 7pm in the Harrington Center.
