Lions protect home field, earn a win against Blackburn

LOCATION:  Schueler Field (Cincinnati, Ohio)

THE BASICS:  

Mount St. Joseph (4-2-1) battled Blackburn (2-6-1) on Sunday afternoon and came out victorious, earning them their fourth win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

Mount St. Joseph came out attacking the Blackburn defense, putting shot after shot on goal in the first half.  By the time the horn sounded for halftime, the Lions were winning by an impressive 3-0 margin.  The second half featured another relentless attack on goal for the Lions.  This time, however, it only resulted in one goal, making it a 4-0 final.

STANDOUTS:

Jasmine Cahill had a phenomenal game for the Lions, netting two goals and leading the offensive assult all game.

UP NEXT:

Mount St. Joseph travels to Centre on Wednesday.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
