THE BASICS: Two teams entered the match on Wednesday looking for their fifth win of season. The Lions captialized on a great goal late in the game to come away with the victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The first half was a matchup of great defensive and goalie play. After taking a 0-0 game into halftime, the Lions found a way to come through big in the second half. In the 55th minute of play, Tyler Schumann received a beautiful cross from Alex Gross and was able to head it into the goal, giving the Lions the 1-0 advantage that would eventually win them the match.
THE STANDOUTS: Tyler Schumann scored the only goal for either team in the match, and it was a beauty. His stellar goal was the lift the Lions needed to improve to 5-1-2 on the season.
