THE BASICS:
The Lions entered their match against Wabash looking to grab their 6th win of the season, but were turned away by a late surge by the Wabash offense.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The brilliant Mount St. Joseph defense was on display during the first half, as they held their opponents to zero goals and took a 0-0 tie into halftime. Almost directly after the second half kickoff, Wabash broke onto the scoreboard and took the 1-0 lead. Mount St. Joseph answered quickly on a fantastic goal by Alex Gross. The score remained knotted at 1-1 until Wabash broke out very late in the second half, scoring a total of 3 goals within a 12 minute span, and securing the win 4-1.
THE STANDOUTS:
Alex Gross had a solid day on the field, scoring the only Lion goal.

The Lions will open up conference play on Saturday against Anderson, with kickoff coming at 3:30 at Schueler Field.
