DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Mount St. Joseph women's volleyball team headed north to Defiance, Ohio to take on the Yellow Jackets of Defiance. With the win the Lions would keep pace atop the HCAC standings and keep their hopes of a regular season championship alive.
The Mount took the match against Defiance in straight sets, 25-20, 25-22 and 25-20.
Emily Abshire led the Lions with 17 kills and a .256 hitting percentage.
Brooke Aselage was the only other Lion to register double-figure kills (10)

Sam Buschur dished out 39 assists. Aselage and
Erin Androne each had double-figure digs as the duo combined for 21.Â
With the win the Lions remain in a tie atop the HCAC standings with Earlham and Transylvania. Setting the stage for a huge matchup on Wednesday night in the Harrington Center, the match will begin at 7:00 PM!
