CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Mount St. Joseph University Men's volleyball team was dominant this weekend defeating Olivet College in straight sets on consecutive days. The Lions are now riding a 3-game win streak led by last week's AVCA DIII National Player of the Week
Jason Hascher.
RESULTS
- The Lions won first match on Saturday 2/20 by scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-15.
- They followed that with another 3-0 victory on 2/21 winning, 25-11, 25-12, 25-19.
NOTABLES
- Senior Hayden Wood was great for the Lions on the offensive end registering 11 kills between the two matches while hitting .417 in match one and .273 in match two. Wood also added three service aces between the two matches
- Junior Jack Spohn was a force in the middle for the Lions adding 12 kills in two matches while hitting a spectacular .818 in the first match and .333 in match two. Spohn also added three service aces and three block assists in the two matches.
- Junior Rey Sanchez continued to put up stellar numbers for the Lions. In the first match Sanchez registered 29 assists along with 2 service aces, 5 kills while hitting .714. In match two Sanchez kept up his great form by adding 28 assists along with 2 service aces and 4 kills while hitting .429.
- Senior Jason Hascher continued his National Player of the week for with another amazing outing this weekend. Between both matches Hascher accumulated 27 kills while hitting .591 in match one and .579 in match two. He also recorded 3 service aces and 7 block assists between the two matches.

The Mount (3-1, 3-1 MCVL) will be on the road this Saturday as they travel to Springfield. Ohio to take on the Tigers of Wittenberg in a double-header matchup starting at 12PM & 3PM.
