Berea, Ohio— The Mount St. Joseph University Men's Volleyball team took to the road this weekend to take on Yellow Jackets of Baldwin Wallace for a double header. The Lions left Baldwin Wallace with two wins both via straight sets. This added to the Lions impressive record, who are now 9-1 on the season.
RESULTS
-The Lions won the first match on Saturday 3/13 by scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-17.
-In the following game the Lions won by scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-13.
NOTEABLES
-Senior Jason Hascher led the team in kills both games, posting 18 kills in the first game and in the following match posted 13. Hascher did this while hitting .593 in the first game and .458 in the second game.
-Senior Hayden Wood had an impressive first match, posting 10 kills off of a .692 hitting percentage.
-Junior Rey Sanchez was a key part of the Lions offense, having 23 assists in the first match and 25 in the second match. Additionally Sanchez added 5 kills in game one, along with 9 digs.
UP NEXT
The Lions (9-1, 9-1 MCVL) will return to the Harrington Center this weekend, as they play host to Adrian College for a double-header. This double-header will see one match played on Saturday, March 20 starting at 6PM. The second game will be played on Sunday, March 21 starting at 12PM.
