HANOVER, Ind. - On Saturday, April 17th your Mount St. Joseph Lions traveled to Hanover College to take on the Panthers in another HCAC clash. The Lions struck early but could never find their groove falling to the Panthers 17-6.
The Lions started off hot with 2 consecutive goals to start the game.
Rachel Kyle (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) got the Lions started just 30 seconds into the game scoring her 12th goal of the season. Then 5 minutes later
Megan Dancer (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) scored her 15th goal of the year giving the Lions a 2-0 advantage. The Panthers would get one back but
Rachel Kyle would find the net again making the score 3-1 with 19:32 left in the half. But, the Lions offense would soon dry out as the Panthers scored 5 unanswered goals to end the half to make the score 6-3.
To begin the 2nd half the Panthers would continue to find success. After a Hanover goal the Lions would answer back, again it was Kyle scoring giving her a hat trick on the day. But, the Lions could not keep up with the Panther offense. The Lions were able to score 2 more goals before the game came to a close but the Panthers came out victorious 17-6.

UP NEXT: The Lions travel to Franklin, Ind. to take on the Grizzlies of Franklin College on Saturday, April 24th for the final regular season game of 2021. The contest is set to begin at 1pm.
