CINCINNATI, Ohio - Your Mount St. Joseph Lions women's golf squad finished up their season with a 4th place finish at the HCAC Championships. Four Lions finished in the top 25 out of 48 competitors.
First, freshman
Kate Dwyer (West Chester, Ohio/Badin) cracked the top 25 shooting a 95 in round 1, a 97 in round 2, another 95 in round 3 finishing with a score of 287 placing her 25th in the conference. Dwyer was the only Lions' freshman to make the top 25!
Next, senior
Hayley Quatman (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) finished with a score of 273 which helped the Lions secure their 4th place finish. Quatman shot a 93 in round 1, and 90 in both rounds 2 & 3 which placed her 18th in the field.
Following Quatman was
Isabella Olthaus (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton). Olthaus shot a 264 on the weekend for the Lions. Olthaus shot a 93 in round 1 and bounced back with two impressive rounds of 85 & 86 placing her 12th in the field, 2 spots higher than her start.
Finally,
Patricia Windholtz (Newark, Ohio/Newark Catholic) had a massive weekend for the Lions. Windholtz shot a 255, missing out on a top 5 finish by just 2 strokes. She shot a 88 in round 1, a 86 in round 2, and an impressive 81 in the final round to give her a 6th place finish, 4 higher than where she started. To go along with her impressive finish Windholtz was awarded as she was named to the All-HCAC team.
