CINCINNATI, Ohio - On Saturday, October 22nd your Mount St. Joseph University Lions welcomed the Ravens of Anderson to Schueler Field. Each squad traded opportunities in the 1st half but couldn't push across a goal. But, in the second half the Lions would get an unfortunate break as an attempted clear by the Lions defense ended up in The Mount's own goal giving the Ravens a 1-0 lead. The Mount was unable to answer falling to Anderson 1-0.
In the first half the Lions were the first to attack. Freshman
Ashley Bley would get a pair of shots of but could not connect.
Haley Trittschuh, McKenzie Schneeman and
Poetrie Bedgood would all send shots towards the net in the half but could not convert heading into halftime tied 0-0.
To begin the second half, the Lions again took the attack first.
Zoe Sanford and
Kerigan Pollard both got shots off but again, the Lions could not find the net. In the 66th minute the Lions would catch a tough break. The Ravens would attempt a cross into the box but the Lions defender would score an own goal giving the Ravens a 1-0 advantage.
Following the goal, the Lions offense was limited as the Ravens became more defensive. The Mount was able to send three more shots to the net but none could equalize. After 90 minutes of play, the Lions fell to Anderson 1-0.

The Lions are set to travel to Defiance, Ohio to take on the Yellow Jackets of Defiance College. Kick-off is scheduled to begin at 3:30pm.
