CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Mount St. Joseph University football team and its 2-0 record are on the road this weekend, headed to Holland, Michigan to take on the Dutchmen of Hope College.
The Lions enter the game with a 12-win regular season winning streak. These two programs have only faced off a single time in the history of the two programs. That matchup happened just a season ago, at the Mount. In that game the Mount was able to secure the tight 33-28 victory.
Coming into the game off the heels of 62-21 victory over Hiram, the Lions find themselves just outside the D3football.com top-25. Another tough road non-conference win could help the Lions build a top-25 type of resume.
This weeks matchup will be a much tougher one as Hope was one of the preseason favorites in the MIAA. They come into the game with a 1-1 record, but that lone loss came against #16 Aurora on the road.
This game is scheduled to kickoff at 1:00 pm at Ray and Sue Smith Stadium in Holland, Michigan.
