PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania - The Mount St. Joseph men's volleyball team went on the road to take on the Celtics of Carlow on Saturday. The Lions came away with a straight sets win to move back to .500 on the season. The first two sets were close (25-23, 25-22) before a dominant third set (25-16) secured the victory.
The Mount dominated the match statistically, hitting .378 as a team to just .116 for the Celtics. Also as a team they had 42 kills to just 29 for Carlow.
Jude Lewis led the way offensively, with a match-high 13 kills to go along with a .462 hitting percentage.
Ryan Bollhauer was also in double-figures with 12 kills and and outstanding .632 hitting percentage.
Luke Dwire added seven kills,
Logan Essen added five and
Roger Wilcox had four. Ben Carmisno dished out 38 assists, to go along with 9 digs to lead the team. Essen picked up eight digs and Dwire had seven.
