RICHMOND, Indiana – Over the weekend the Mount St. Joseph men's soccer team went on the road to face Earlham College. The Mount was able to get four shots off in the first half, and they were able to put three of them on frame but none found the back of the net. The Lions' defense was able to hold Earlham to just two first half shots and the half ended with the teams still knotted at zero.
Earlham opened the scoring in the 59
th minute, but the Mount would draw a penalty kick shortly after.
Mohit Naphray converted the spot kick to even the game for the Lions. Unfortunately, the Quakers were able to score a game winning goal late in the second half and the game would go on to finish with a score of 2-1 in favor of Earlham.
UP NEXT: The Lions will travel to take on Hanover this Wednesday and attempt to get back on the correct side of the win column in another HCAC matchup.
